I started Personal property management more than 15 years ago to help out family who had experienced very poor service from a large property management company. Since then I have strived to build a business that is different from the “real estate model” and really looks after owners, properties and tenants. Our model is about having one person who takes care of everything and actually has a positive relationship with everyone involved.
After all this time there is very little I have not dealt with in terms of managing property and I have been involved as a consulting participant with MBIE in the changes that have completely changed property management over the past 5 years.
Finally as an active property investor myself I understand what owning rental property is like as an owner.

I started my journey as a Property Manager back in 2007, working for a Property Consultant company which specialised in bridging the gap between Landlords and their lending requirements. I was the Senior Lending Advisor; however, it quickly became apparent that I had a flair for Property Management, coupled with my ability to multi-task and build strong relationships with both Tenants and Landlords alike. I enjoy the variety that Property Management brings on a daily basis.
Prior to working in Property Management, I was in Commercial Insurance and Finance for seventeen years. I also hold a Diploma in Television and Film, and work periodically as a Production Manager for a Multimedia Production House.

From screening tenants to handling maintenance requests, I have the knowledge and experience to take care of all aspects of property management with professionalism and attention to detail.
I have also completed two big renovations at my own place. First extending our current house into modern open living 4-bedroom property (upstairs). Then secondly converting downstairs into a 1-bedroom standalone unit for rent. As a landlord myself, my goal is to create a positive and respectful environment for everyone involved. while always prioritising your financial interests.

With more than 15 years experience managing my own properties I have seen how a number of property mangers work, with a number of issues and I fully understand the problems owners face.
I started working in the construction industry in 2005 and a became a building inspector doing a number of pre-purchase inspections, I am also a registered Healthy Home inspector. This experience has shown me what is important in a house and where to allocate your limited resources.
Law and regulations have always been an interest of mine, in 2015 I did a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) focusing in Law, Ethics and Economics.
As a people person I share the values of Personal Property Management and from my experience I believe that a personal, individual approach to property management is severely lacking in the Wellington market.
